Dates for Committee Meetings are 13 Oct 2010 and 12 Jan 2011.

AGM will be held on Sunday 21 November 2010 at Easter Compton. Please consider volunteering to join the Committee and support Severnside.

Pub Evenings: You will see that we have (re)introduced the ‘pub nights’ for the autumn / winter months. This will be in the last week of the month – varying days of the week, see programme for details. We hope to see some of you there for a chat, a drink. There is the option to have a meal if you would like to do so. If you have any photos of walks, please bring them along for others to see. Andy Pearson will probably bring his laptop and show you his amazing collection of photos!

Helicopter Rescue - Accidents will happen!!!!!

Friday Amble on 4 June 2010 - Compton Dando area - walk led by Jenny & John
Doreen  tripped over and it looked as if she had broken her ankle as her foot was at a very strange angle so we rang 999. It was between Woollard and Publow on the river bank. We had paramedics and then the ambulance and finally the police helicopter. It was lucky that it was warm and dry weather and Doreen was soon in safe hands and on her way to Bath RUH. We wish Doreen a speedy recovery. Link to photos. Many thanks to the Paramedics and the Police Aircrew for their assistance. Link to Wiltshire Air Ambulance
