Car Share

The group encourages car sharing and most of our walks include a carshare location, where members can park and arrange to drive together to the start of the walk.

When the walk details show a meeting time for carshare, this is the time when cars will leave, so please make sure you arrive in time to get everything sorted.

Bear in mind that carshare is a voluntary arrangement – we cannot guarantee you will get a lift, though usually it works out fine.

Some members have asked for guidance on the amount that passengers should contribute to the cost of the journey. As a rough guide, we suggest a basic 10p a mile per passenger to cover petrol, with the addition of any parking or tolls.
